Day 281 - The Channel Center Crew
The Boston construction industry is buzzing about the demand for urban rental property. At Cannistraro we've witnessed this increase in demand first hand as we're building more and more multifamily residential buildings in the Seaport District, the Fort Point Channel and in Cambridge. Today's photo of some of the JCC HVAC team was taken on-site at one such project in the Fort Point Channel, at 5 Channel Center.

Day 280 - Social Media Education
As regular readers of this blog will know, Cannistraro is a huge supporter of both the Boston Chapter of IFMA (International Facility Management Association) and the use of social media. Last evening the two crossed paths at a dynamic educational session called "Adopting Social Media: An Interactive How-to." Of course JCC representatives were in attendance, along with many other AEC, FM and CRE professionals, including speakers/social media experts Michael Reilly of Reilly Communications and Stephen Hopkins of the New England Real Estate Journal.

Day 273 - Thinking About Chiller Services...even when it's cold., a photo by JC Cannistraro on Flickr.
One of the great things about having a Service Group backed by resources and capabilities of New England's largest mechanical construction firm is its ability to tackle any HVAC project. Despite the fact that another winter storm is expected to roll through the Northeast this week, Cannistraro Service Group advises facilities to think about their chiller maintenance needs before the hot summer months ahead.

Day 272- Plumbing at its...Smallest?
Today we share a little something, pun intended, that was recently added to The Plumbing Museum. The American Standard Baby Devoro, is a staple in kindergarten bathrooms at The Plumbing Museum. And it sure does look small next to the bariatric toilet we shared last week.

Day 264 - Quiet on the Set
This is no studio backlot...on the contrary, in fact, today's photo was shot at an active job site in Cambridge where a Cannistraro film crew visited last Friday. In honor of Cannistraro's 50th anniversary, the Marketing Department is putting together a unique video about the people, process and projects involved with 50 years of building with intelligence. This photo represents one moment of that video, where the crew captured the thoughts of a foreman in the field.
